During use, the four column hydraulic press inevitably experiences one or another malfunction. The main reason for the hydraulic press plunger is the deformation of the cylinder hole. Usually, during the assembly process, the center steel ball will fall off. When the pump starts, the end of the cylinder is clamped, causing the cylinder hole to deform and bite the plunger. In addition, the center reset spring is broken, and the cylinder support roller bearing is still damaged, which may also cause the plunger of the horizontal hydraulic press to get stuck or the pump to be damaged.

When grabbing the plunger of a four column hydraulic press, all major parts, such as the cylinder body, must be removed for inspection. In addition, the likelihood of repairing damaged parts is usually low, so replacement methods are usually used to replace them.
The pump of the four column hydraulic press has been running for a long time. Due to excessive wear and assembly clearance of the plunger, the pump pressure cannot increase or the oil output is insufficient under high pressure. The reasons for the above phenomenon are: in addition to oily factors, the heat treatment hardness of the plunger is low, the material is unqualified, and the surface roughness of the cylinder is high. But the characteristic when this phenomenon occurs should be more uniform wear.

For excessively worn pistons and cylinders, replacement methods are usually used. Although this repair method is fast, it is not cost-effective. In fact, as long as the deformation of the cylinder hole is not very serious, precision or grinding methods can usually be used to make its shape and position accuracy meet the tolerance requirements. Then replace the outer diameter of the cylinder to enlarge the plunger, and the function of a horizontal hydraulic press is basically the same as replacing parts.
